Once claimed, the coin is listed on the passport with its ticker and mint address. That is how you tell it from a copy.

Anyone can launch a coin with any ticker. The passport is what ties one coin to one name.

If a mint address is on the passport, the owner of that name claimed it. If it is not there, the owner did not.

The passport says nothing about what the coin is worth.
