The wallet record is a Solana address. It is where a payment to the name goes. It can be the owner’s own wallet or a separate one the dot uses.

The app checks that the address is a valid Solana address before it saves it. It does not check who controls it; that is the owner’s job.

The name never holds money. It only says where to send it.
